Edible Frosting Stamped Cookies



Using edible frosting sheets and vibrant food coloring, create beautifully stamped and decorated cookies. These cookies are both delicious and visually appealing, making them ideal for special occasions and celebrations.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Edible food coloring
  • Edible frosting sheets
  • Stamping tools

Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt

In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms

Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape them into discs

Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Roll out one disc of dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness

Use the stamping tools to imprint the dough with your chosen designs

Cut out the stamped shapes using cookie cutters and place them on the prepared baking sheet

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Repeat the rolling, stamping, and baking process with the second disc of dough

Prepare the edible frosting sheets by cutting them into shapes that match your stamped cookies

Apply a thin layer of edible food coloring on the stamping surface of the stamping tools

Gently press the edible frosting sheets onto the stamping tools to transfer the colors onto the sheets

Once the cookies are completely cool, gently place the colored edible frosting sheets on top of the cookies to match the stamped designs

Allow the frosting to set before serving or packaging the cookies
